Cacao & Sound Healing
CACAO & SOUND HEALING
Limited to 8 persons
Cacao, theobroma cacao, in its’ most traditional use by native peoples of the deep tropical regions of the Americas has properties for healing that are unknown or forgotten by the modern processing and the gourmet chocolate industry.
Traditional cacao retains psychoactive properties that are heart opening and assists in the clearing of the stagnation and numbing that has become rampant in peoples’ systems from the modern food industry and has resulted in many illnesses that were unknown by traditional native peoples.
Cacao was an important sacrament in Mayan and Aztec religious ceremonies, often consumed unsweetened and mixed with chili peppers and/or corn, as a thick frothy beverage. The word chocolate is derived from the Aztec word xocolatl, a compounding of xococ (bitter) and atl (water).
When traditional raw cacao is prepared for ceremony here with pure water and clear intentions, the clarity of healing many ailments can begin.
Together with the cacao drink, we will explore gentle yet powerful qigong healing sounds. These practices will enhance the healing effects of the cacao medicine.
In Traditional Chinese calligraphy, the character for Heart is the same as Mind. This means that the Heart and Mind were not considered as separate energetically but were integral to the human experience. Imagine that your Heart is integral with your Thoughts and your Thoughts are expressing your Heart. Then imagine that your Thoughts and Emotions are both expressions of the One Spirit. This is Shen. In Chinese Medicine, Shen can be translated as “Spirit”, “Mind”, “God” or “Deity” and implies our consciousness, mental functions, mental health, vitality, and our “presence”. Shen lives in the Heart, where it retires to sleep during the night.
Modern science says the Heart has a consciousness that precedes the knowing of Mind and they have a deep communication. The physical heart contains 40,000 brain-like cells called sensory neurites forming a communication network within the heart, a little brain. As the scientists* who made the discovery say in their report, “The ‘heart brain’ is an intricate network of nerves, neurotransmitters, proteins, and support cells similar to those found in the brain proper.”
Join us as we explore together this sacrament in a supportive and sacred environment of a forest sanctuary with healing with the Love from Nature.
